About Dr. Emery
Dr. Turner P. Emery is a native Knoxvillian. He attended the University of the South, graduating with a BA in 1998. He attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry where he received his DDS in May 2002. He received his MD from the University of Florida College of Medicine in May 2005 and completed his general surgery residency and residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Florida and its affiliated hospitals in 2008.
Dr. Emery enjoys all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery and focuses on the management/removal of impacted teeth, dental implants, hard and soft tissue grafting, facial trauma, corrective jaw surgery, management of oral pathology and surgical management of the TMJ. Dr. Emery is affiliated with several regional hospitals including The University of Tennessee Medical Center and East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, where he is a member of the Cleft and Craniofacial Team.
Dr. Emery is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is also a member of several professional organizations including the American Dental Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Surgeons and the Tennessee Medical Association, among others.
In his free time, Dr. Emery enjoys spending time with his wife and three wonderful children, fly-fishing, golf and UT athletics.

Frank Rizzo, DMD
Dr. Frank Rizzo migrated south from the Chicago area to join Knox OMS in July upon completion of his residency program.
Dr Rizzo graduated Cum Laude from his dentistry program at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry.
He completed his residency program at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois, with a strong focus in dentoalveolar surgery, implantology, office anesthesia, orthognathic surgery, trauma, benign pathology, and TMJ surgery.
Dr Rizzo has spent time with family in the Nashville area, driving his passion for the state of Tennessee. He enjoys fishing and the outdoors. His enthusiasm for patient care is infectious, and the team is enjoying working with him.
